Oil, 48 x 36. Collection of the artist. This young lady sat for a painting I later called "Southwester" and, while she posed, I found out that she played the cello. I hoped that she would pose with it, and she did! This is a very large painting and hasn't been displayed enough. But I entered it in a show in the outskirts of New York City and the critic who judged the show commented that I "edited well." Nice praise from a New York City art critic.
