Great Falls VA Early SpringOil, 24 x 36, on linen. This is a well-known view in one of our National Parks. I've done many paintings and studies of it. What I love particularly about this painting is the very clear cobalt blue of the river — clearer even than the sky — and the fluidity of the water as opposed to the rigidity of the rocks. |
